Description:
Color postcard showing the stables on the W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch in Pomona, California, c. 1939
Caption on front: Stables on W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch, Pomona, Calif.
Caption on back: The W. K. Kellogg Institute of Animal Husbandry is located about four miles West of Pomona, California. This 750 acre ranch is devoted to the breeding of registered Arabian horses of the best individuality and choicest blood lines for the preservation of these beautiful creatures, which have become practically extinct. The W. K. Kellogg Institute was founded in the Spring of 1925 by W. K. Kellogg, cereal manufacturer of Battle creek, Mich., and presented to the University of California, in 1932.
Written on back: Arrived Sat. night about 9:00 and the trip out was a distance of just 2,591 miles. [illegible] You can see for hundreds of miles but its because the air is so much cleaner. Kind of homesick now but will get over it I hope. - Dave
