Stan Lassen has had 11 years experience in the automotive business, having served as sales manager for a local automobile dealer before establishing himself as a dealer at 413 West Michigan avenue in October, 1931. In 1931, the Nash Motor Car company appointed him dealer and representative for Calhoun county and each succeeding year has seen the sales doubled, until this year the indications are that the business will triple that of 1936.
At his new location, 320 West Michigan avenue, Mr. Lassen will continue withm the Nash LaFayette motor cars and quality used cars. The new location has a frontage of 202 feet on West Michigan avenue and 133 feet on Cass avenue. The showroom with its modernistic design is one of the largest and most modern in the state, having more then 1,000 square feet of window area.
The service department covers 8,580 square feet of floor space and is fully equipped to service cars. Thme specialized lubrication department is new and modern using Kendall 2,000-mile lubricant exclusively. The new parts department is complete with a full line of parts and accessories for the Nash and LaFayette cars.
Assisting Mr. Lassen will be a personnel of 18 employees, including Jay Luts, [illegible] Lassen, [illegible] Pincoe, Earl McUmber and Joe Pryor in the sales department: Miss Ester Lassen, office manager: Chris "Scotty" Fettes, with 12 years experience on Nash cars exclusively, head of the service department: Walter Rathburn, Linwood Angus, Harold [illegible....], Leon Myers, Charles Eddy and Ernest Lowink.

Nov 13, 1933 - Used car dealer at 482 W. Mich. Takes over [illegible] for Nash car.
Mar [illegible] 1938 - Nash and LaFayette dealer 320 W. Mich adds Pontiac taking franchise from B.C. Motor Sales Co. 161 E. Mich. which also had Buick. |
