Description:
During WWII manufacturing firms turned their tools to producing weapons to win the war against fascism. Locally when the Duplex Printing Press Co. received a contract to make 37 mm gun carriages for the army, uniformed guards were hired to patrol the plant inside and out 24 hours a day. Here proudly serving on the homefront are Roy Langridge, Jack McAdow, Harold Burgess, Ruby Lipps, M. Green, N. Huff, and G. Dull.
