dc.description These aerial images of downtown Battle Creek and vicinity by photographer Kermit Krum were likely captured in between 1957 or 1958. Handwritten notes on the back of the primary print notes the presence of the new Enquirer and News building at 155 W. Van Buren Street, completed in 1952, and the Salvation Army Citadel at 118 W. Van Buren Street, dedicated on Sept, 7, 1957. Note also the absence of the East State Street parking deck, built in 1965 over the Battle Creek River. en_US
