Dec 7 - 1911. 448 Written on back: Battle Creek, Dec. 11, 1911 Dear Mother & All I suppose you read of the fire here is the picture & I seen that child that was suffocated from the smoke in that fire on Washington St. Gladys was here a few minutes this afternoon & I was to Mammies for dinner. We have got 90 lbs of beef & 140 lbs of pork I guess we won't starve. I was surprised to get Wilber's card that they had a baby. I can't come this week any how not sure next week.
