dc.description Postcard showing the lagoon at Irving Park. Irving Park was a gift to the city by industrialist Irving L. Stone. Designed by landscape architect T. Clifton Shepherd, it contained a rock garden and lagoons and was dedicated in 1924. Caption on front: Scene in Irving Park Battle Creek, Mich. Written on back: Dear Mother. Arrived home & went down to see Richard & he said to write to you and have you tell Olive that he would to be [illegible] every thing here & if she would to stay longer to just write and tell him.
