dc.description Color postcard showing the lagoon at Irving Park. Irving Park was a gift to the city by industrialist Irving L. Stone. Designed by landscape architect T. Clifton Shepherd, it contained a rock garden and lagoons and was dedicated in 1924. Caption on front: A Lagoon in Irving Park, Battle Creek, Michigan Written on back: Dear Ethel and Family: How is every one, have thought of you so often. Suppose you are busy looking after your property's. I wonder why you never come up. I wrote a card to Nettie & it came back to me unclaimed. It said moved and did not leave an address.
