Postcard showing Percheron Horse team at the Sunday horse show at California State Polytecnic College, Kellogg Unit, c. 1956. In 1925 W. K. Kellogg established an Arabian horse ranch in Pomona, California. In 1949, he deeded the 813 acre ranch to the University of California and it became the California State Polytechnic College, Kellogg Unit. Kellogg deeded the land on the condition that Sunday horse shows continue as a tradition at the college.
