Kellogg, using a process developed at the Battle Creek Sanitarium of soaking grain and then rolling and baking it to provide a thin, toasted flake which was marketed as a healthy alternative breakfast food. Caption on front: Toasted Corn Flakes. Battle Creek, Mich. Written on back: Aug. 9, 1910 Dear Sister & All. We expect to leave here next Friday and may visit at your place early the coming week.
