dc.description Postcard showing a photo of the Seventh Day Adventist "Dime Tabernacle" before the fire destroyed it on January 7, 1922. Dedicated on April 20, 1879, the $26,275 cost of building the church was raised by donations of a dime a month from members. It could seat 3,200 people. The Dime Tabernacle was located on the corner of West Main (now West Michigan Avenue) and North Washington Street, facing McCamly Park. Caption on front: Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle Battle Creek, Mich BCS 09 Written on back: Dec. 18, 1913 Dear Laura, Olivia was operated on last Sunday. She had gall stones and tumor. The Dr. say she is getting along nicely and will be strong when she gets well. hope you are all well I will go home Tuesday and come back of en_US
