dc.description Color postcard showing a photo of the Red Cross building Camp Custer, Mich. c. 1919 Caption on front: 2322 Red Cross Building, Camp Custer, Mich. Written on back: Pvt. John H. Hathaway, Det. Med. Dept. Base Hosp. Camp Custer, Mich. April 1, 1917 Dear Miss King: Was in the library in this building for the first time today but did not stay long. My [illegible] asked for my release again but it was turned down. There seems to be no chance whatever to get out although we are not doing more than an hour or two of work a day. The rest of the time we just loaf. Carl Detwyler is still out here in the Medical Supply. I usually see him every few days at mess for their mess is the same as ours. Remember me to all my friends Sincerely, Harold H. Sent to: Miss E. A. King 125 Fourth St., Jackson, Michigan Sent on: April 2, 1919 en_US
