dc.description Color photograph of the back of the Ward Building at 34-47 Jefferson Street North (now Capital Avenue, Northeast). The building was built over the Battle Creek River in 1905 by Frank and Charles Ward in honor of their father Joseph Ward, on the site of the original Ward's Flour Mill. It was razed in 1987. The Old Merchants tower is at the left. en_US
