Postcard showing two children and a dog on the porch of an unidentified home, probably in Battle Creek, c. 1911
Written on back: Dear Mother This is Sunday and we have had a hard storm lots of hail but is nice just now Hugh and Howard have gone swimming. Hugh's work is inspecting head end of engines Easy work and he makes $50 month and if he will only stick to it he will get very well. [illegible] we are not coming home this sprig we would like to so well but we are going to Portland & Boston and are coming home Xmas. We start June 25 and will be back before the fourth of July Can't you come for the fourth they are going to celebrate hear I don't know if Harold could find any work or not he could come and try when we get back Hugh had a hard time finding work but Harold is welcomed to come and try.
