dc.description An architectural rendering of the Battle Creek Aerie No. 299 lodge of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in fall 1948. The single-story building was constructed on the site of its previous headquarters at East Michigan and Jay streets. The club had about 1,200 members at the time. To finance the new lodge, the aerie spent $88,000 in cash and borrowed the balance to build the $105,227 structure. en_US
