dc.description Workers put the finishing touches on the Grand Leader storefront at 17 W. Michigan Ave. in October 1948. The building's history dates to 1869 and was the site of Battle Creek's first theater, the Hamblin Opera House. The Grand Leader, established in 1910, took over the Toeller Building in 1927. en_US
