dc.description Elsie Pratt leads a class in a music lesson at Newbre School in September 1946. The smallest of Calhoun County's rural schools had been closed in 1943 but reopened to accommodate overflow from Ceresco School. It remained open until 1960, accommodating some 30 pupils in spite of being designed for no more than 13. en_US
