dc.description Four installations comprised the Percy Jones Hospital Center. In addition to the Percy Jones General, the complex included the W.K. Kellogg Annex at Gull Lake, the Convalescent Hospital at Fort Custer and the Fort Custer Annex. The War Department released these photos in February 1946 after lifting the wartime ban on photographs of military installations. The Enquirer and News reported in its Feb. 17, 1946, edition that since the hospital's dedication on Feb. 22, 1943, that "approximately 46,500 patients have been admitted and the hospital center has grown to the largest institution of its kind in the world." en_US
