dc.description A wintry morning outside St. Thomas Episcopal Church in 1943. The first St. Thomas Episcopal Church at Capital Avenue Northeast, then Jefferson Avenue, and Van Buren Street was built in 1848, nine years after Battle Creek's first Episcopal service. It was torn down in 1875 to make way for the church that stands today. en_US
