Description:
Sept. 30, 1932, marked the end of the street-car era in Battle Creek when buses of the Battle Creek Coach Co. began transporting the public. Art Middleton wrote in the Sept. 24, 1967, edition of the Enquirer and News that "facing the city was the vexing question of what to do with the tracks. It was estimated that it would cost upwards of $75,000 to remove them."
