dc.description A circa 1929 photo of Verona School shows the 1915 addition on the left and the belfry atop the old wing on the right on what was then Maple Street. The new addition had been equipped with a centralized radio control system connected to a speaker in each of the 18 classrooms. The village school's history dates to 1855, although it wasn't until the 1890s that Battle Creek brought absorbed the village and what was called the "No. 6 school." en_US
