dc.description Floyd A. Wallace, who is wearing the Battle Creek Central High School sweater at the end of the counter, submitted this 1912 photograph of Baker Drug Store at 9 Jefferson Ave. N. (now Capital Avenue Northeast.) Jim Bresslin is behind the counter, according an article published in the June 1, 1980, Enquirer and News. The article does not identify the third man in the photo, although the archival envelope lists the name John Simpson, who would become an assistant store manager. In 1927, Simpson was elected to the Battle Creek City Commission. en_US
