F.J. Halladay and Sons Wholesale Grocers transported products to retail stores in the Battle Creek area using this vehicle — the first motorized delivery truck in the city, according to Gairold Sharpsteen, who supplied this 1909 photograph published in the Sept. 22, 1979, Enquirer and News. Sitting behind the wheel is Shaprsteen's father, Anson. The two other men are unidentified. |
