dc.description Members of St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church celebrated the installation of the church's cupola on April 26, 1975. The 40 families who attended of St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church completed this new home at 506 B Drive S. on Sept. 13, 1970. The Enquirer and News reported on May 1, 1975, that the $3,000, gold-leaf, onion-dome cupola, traditional to Eastern Orthodox churches, weighed 300 pounds, stood 13 feet tall and was topped by a three-barred Slavic cross. en_US
