dc.description	Battle Creek's First Church of Christ, Scientist, founded in 1895, purchased its building site at 226 Capital Ave. NE in 1922, but it wasn't until 1939 that the new building and school auditorium were completed. Members dedicated the complex on Aug. 20, 1944, after paying all indebtedness on the building.	en_US
