The members of St. Mark Lutheran Church dedicated a new, $270,000 sanctuary in the fall of 1973, just 16 years after its founding in 1957 with 28 members. The church was built at 1899 Capital Ave. SW on five acres of the former Yawger Farm. At the time of this photo, the church claimed more than 400 members. |
