dc.description The Pennfield Assembly of God at 8938 Bellevue Road started in 1948 as an out-station of the former Four Fold Gospel Church. Assembly of God members voted to purchase the building site, on the corner of Bellevue and McAllister roads, in May 1953. They built and used the church basement before voting to building a first-floor sanctuary in 1957. It wasn't until 1972 that the church embarked on an extensive remodeling project — reflected in this Nov. 17, 1973 photo — that included bricking the church exterior. en_US
