dc.description The 40 families who attended of St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church completed this new home at 506 B Drive S. on Sept. 13, 1970. The congregation, which numbered 40 families of Slavic descent, spent most of 1970 as subcontractors on the project. The church would later add a cupola — the dome with a cross. The new church cost $14,000 plus $3,500 for the land. en_US
