dc.description First United Methodist Church, pictured here in 1970, expanded so quickly in the mid-19th century that its congregation moved through multiple buildings. The current building, the Battle Creek Enquirer reported on June 9, 2013, was built in 1908. The architect was Wilbur Thoburn Mills, and the church is listed as a Michigan State Historic Site. en_US
