The Heath Street Mennonite Church in Battle Creek — just off Raymond Road — had about 50 members at the time of this photograph, which was published in the Enquirer and News on Dec. 3, 1972. The Heath Street church was built in 1964, two years after the Mennonites formed their congregation in Battle Creek.
