The photo caption in the Oct. 22, 1970, Enquirer and News read, "Any hazard to pedestrians or vehicles should end by tonight, a Battle Creek Wrecking Co. spokesman said, enabling the City of Battle Creek to reopen McCamly Avenue and Jackson Streets Friday morning. Workmen have been on the job nearly 24 hours a day in the last week to complete the razing of the structure." en_US
