dc.description Color postcard showing the Miami - Battle Creek Sanitarium in Miami Springs, Florida. Originally built in 1926 by developer Glen Curtiss as part of Country Club Estates the Miami - Battle Creek Sanitarium operated from 1930 - 1959. Written on back: Miami 4/6/33 Dear Hilda Visited the Miami Battle Creek today and had luncheon there. It is all Indian decoration in the interior. built originally for Glen Curtis, the Aviator - who later gave it to Dr. Kellogg who is here conducting it & pretty spry for his 81 years. The grounds are beautiful with their palms and more plants. Rate per day without medical is from 4 - 10 according to room and $15 with. Marie spoke to Dr. K. who remember her and Sheife.
