dc.description Claire Ott's first full-time position at Willard Library was in children services in 1975 and would go on to hold positions in adult services, later becoming coordinator of the job information center. Ott, whose name a face became synonymous with the library, would eventually serve for 15 years as public relations and program coordinator. Ott likened the library to a holy place. "It's become like a ministry and a passion and that's why it's so difficult to leave," she told the Battle Creek Enquirer for a March 1, 2015, story. "It is a passion." en_US
