This Maple Street Methodist Episcopal Church building was built in 1890 at 342 Capital Avenue, NE, in Battle Creek and added to in 1920-21 at a cost of $50,000. The church was founded in 1888 as a mission of the First Methodist Church and met in tents and homes before construction of the current sanctuary.	en_US
