dc.description Postcard showing the rustic bridge at Irving Park. in winter, c. 1931. Irving Park was a gift to the city by industrialist Irving L. Stone. Designed by landscape architect T. Clifton Shepherd, it contained a rock garden and lagoons and was dedicated in 1924. Written on back: 22 W. Territorial Road Battle Creek, Mich. Sep. 23 Dear Anna - Fred is not improving very fast. He gains strength slowly and still sees double when looking with both eyes. We hope to have glasses fitted to his eyes. It is 4 weeks now since he was taken sick. We were so glad to see you & your mother the day of the funeral. Sent to: Miss Anna French Homer, Mich. Sent on: September 24, 1931 en_US
