dc.description A snapshot of the Lakeview area business district on Capital Avenue Southwest in 1943 is familiar 75 years later, although new businesses occupy the buildings. The Withers Quality Market, for example, owned operated by Guy Withers for 16 years before his death in 1940, would in 1946 be bought by Vern J. Eddinger, owner of Speeds Market, for a second restaurant in what would be a iconic local restaurant chain. en_US
