dc.description This is of the last photographs of the former home of the Battle Creek YMCA at 182 Capital Ave. NE, which was demolished in May 1972 to make way for the new Battle Creek Area Family Y Center. The Y Center was created by the merger of the YMCA and the YWCA, which withdrew from its national organization to join forces with its local counterpart. The YWCA's home had been in what eventually became known as the Miller-Stone Building, still in use in 2018. en_US
